Private Information Protection Policy

Recognizing the importance of private information, Fujisoku Corporation (hereafter called Fujisoku) will take protection measures as mentioned below.
Regarding customers’ private information held by Fujisoku:

(1) Purpose of utilization

(a) Business communication
(b) Sending out products or printed matter for business purposes or in response
     to customers’ demands
(c) To specify customers and control records for sales activities
(d) Information related to Fujisoku products or sales activities (seminars, campaigns
    and events) are offered to customers by e-mail, post, facsimile or telephone
(e) Other incidental and relevant activities contributing to business operation

(2) Utilization purposes other than those mentioned above

The purpose of utilization and enquiry site will be clearly stated when private information is obtained and used for purposes other than those mentioned above. By this means, obtained private information will not be used for purposes beyond the limits clearly indicated to the customers.

(3) Outsourcing for handling private information

At Fujisoku, in some cases, private information is entrusted to commissioned companies for limited, specified business procedures for management. Nevertheless, in such cases, the customers’ private information released to these commissioned companies will be limited to the minimum private information necessary for commissioned subject business procedures, and the extent of use will be limited as well. Furthermore, on selecting the company, it is verified whether the company is equipped with adequate protection level for commissioning this case by means of contract accountability, and appropriate safety control measures will be taken.

(4) Disclosure/offer of private information to the third party

As a rule, private information held by Fujisoku will be neither disclosed nor offered to a third party other than Fujisoku. However, the following cases are excluded:

* when materials are sent from our agencies
* when we have the customer’s consent
* when based on laws and regulations
* when necessary for protecting human life, body or property yet difficult to obtain
  the customer’s consent
* when it is necessary to cooperate with execution as ordained by law with national 
  organizations, local public bodies/organizations or those who have been entrusted, 
  yet obtaining the customer’s consent may have the danger of impeding subject execution.

(5) Disclosure of private information

Based on private information protection law, Fujisoku will respond as soon as possible to demands of notification for disclosure of private data in our possession from the customer or their agent.
